Ritika Sajdeh’s comment on an Instagram post lights up Hardik Pandya vs Rohit Sharma battle on the day of IPL schedule announcement

Rohit Sharma has led the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise for 11 seasons and has won five IPL titles with them as a skipper but for the upcoming IPL 2024, the Mumbai-based franchise has announced a new captain.

Mumbai Indians announced Hardik Pandya as their new skipper for the upcoming season of the IPL. Recently, a video on Instagram where a fan was praising Rohit Sharma calling him a ‘selfless captain’ got a reaction from Ritika Sajdeh which is going viral.

Rohit Sharma has been one of the most successful captains in the IPL and has won five IPL titles as captain levelling with the great MS Dhoni who also has won five IPL titles as captain with his franchise Chennai Super Kings.

Hardik Pandya was announced as the captain of the newly added Gujarat Titans in 2022 and he led the team to their first title in their very first season. In the IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans reached the finals of the competition but lost to Chennai Super Kings.

Hardik Pandya was traded for 15 crores to the Mumbai Indians and the homecoming gift for him was the captaincy of the side. Head coach Mark Boucher and many members of the MI team management said that it was purely a cricketing decision to give the captaincy to Hardik. However, no communications were made to Rohit regarding this decision. He is currently leading the Indian team in the five-match Test series and is currently leading 2-1.

Rohit Sharma’s fan talking in the video said that People will forget how Rohit Sharma selflessly led this inexperienced side without the big names present and led them to the biggest victory.

He did not even celebrate his century in the first innings as he has not been the same since the defeat against Australia in the ODI World Cup finals. The fan called Rohit Sharma the real trophy. Ritika Sajdeh commented on the video which is going viral.
