KS Bharat warns England ahead of Vizag Test; reveals Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid urged everyone not to panic

India wicketkeeper batter KS Bharat has issued a warning to England ahead of the second Test in Vizag. He believes that hosts are good at bouncing back after losing and he is looking forward to the challenge.

The India vs England series is in the favour of visitors so far. They displayed a magnificent performance in the first game and clinched the match by 28 runs. However, the focus now turns towards the second match of the series, which will be played from 2nd February in Vishakapatnam.

India generally are slow starter in the series. Since the last few Test series, they have lost the first game but with the way they have made a comeback is something that has always been praiseworthy. They have done some incredible things after losing the first match and it won’t be a surprise if something similar happens this time too.

India have a good track record at Vizag as they have won both the games they have played so far at the venue. Although it will be an inexperienced side but the kind of talent and ability the young boys possess, it won’t be a surprise if the hosts end up leveling the series.

KS Bharat, who played a decent role with bat and gloves in the first game, said that as a team they are looking to do well in the second match. He also credited Ollie Pope, who scored 196 runs in Hyderabad, for his exceptional innings.

KS Bharat said that with the way England played in the first game, they deserved to win the first game. But he didn’t shy away from saying that they are up to the challenge as they have always bounced back well. Speaking to reporters ahead of the second match, he stated:

“We are good at bouncing back after losing the first Test, so as a team, we’re looking to do well. England won in Hyderabad. Ollie Pope played well, and some of the sweeps and reverse sweeps their guys played were impressive. Credit where it’s due. They deserved to win. But like I said, we have bounced back previously as well so yeah, looking forward to this next challenge.”

They asked us not to panic – KS Bharat on message from Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid

KS Bharat further said that the atmosphere in the team is relaxed despite the loss in the first game. He revealed that skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid told the players to not panic as it is a long series.

Further talking about the same, KS Bharat said that the captain and the coach told them to try the things that they want to implement and play good cricket. He explained:

“After the game, the atmosphere is absolutely relaxed. They asked us not to panic. The instruction is very clear that it’s a long Test series and we have played such series in the past. And we as individuals have to focus on good things. Things that we want to try, which we want to implement. We just want to play good cricket. That’s the message from the captain and the coach.”

India will be without the services of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja in the second game. One of Rajat Patidar or Sarfaraz Khan is expected to make the debut. Also, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer are not in the greatest of touch. The hosts no doubt would be under pressure but they have done well in the past in similar situations.
